    Japan's military leaders thought that Japan needed a bigger empire that is equal to the Western powers. In 1931, Japan decided to take over Manchuria. This is important because it shows how powerful Japan wanted to be.The Japanese were rebellious, instense and powerful.

    Hitler Against the Treaty of Versailles
    Hitler goes agaisnt the Treaty if Versailles by sending troops into the demilitarized Rhineland that is bodering France. The Germans did not like Versailles treaty. Also, the Western democracries did not do anything when Hitler started taking actions. I chose this because it shows how much power he had and how he turns his country into something bigger. Also, the Western democracies should have done something instead of leaving Hitler alone.

    Japan overruns Eastern China
    In 1937, Japan started the Second Sino-Japanese war by overruning much of eastern China. Japan also withdrew from the League of Nation because they did not support Japan. Since Japan wanted to become more powerful, it started a war with China, This proves how serious Japan was in becoming more powerful

    Germany, Italy, and Japan formed an alliance known as the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis or the Axis powers. The three nations agreed to fight Soviet Communism and not to interfere iwth one another's plans for teritiorial expansion. This is important because it is one of the reasons why World War 2 started. The three nations wanted to take over land and they started war.

    The Nazi's Commit Genocide

    The Nazi's forced Jews in Poland and other countries to live in ghettos. Many died from starvation, disease, overwork, and the harsh elements. In 1945, Nazi's had massacred nearly six million Jews. This was important because the Holocaust was a large topic in World War 2
    I chose this because it is the start of Holocaust.

    Nazi-Soviet Pact
    The world was stunned when Hitler announced a nonaggression pact with Joseph Stalin in August of 1939. Joseph Stalin was the Soviet dictator and Hitler's great enemy. The pact became known as the Nazi-Soviet pact and the two agreed not to fight if the other went to war and to divide up Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe between them.
    This was important because they only formed a pact because of mutual need. Both Hitler and Stalin did not like each other but they needed each other.

    The enormous power of Hitler's blitzkrieg was revealed when Nazi forces stormed into Poland on September 1, 1939. The German air force and tanks attacked Poland from the east while Stalin's forces attacked from the west.
    This was importan because the Axis made the first move by attacking Poland.

    Operation Sea Lion was the same for the invation of Britain. Hitler wanted to take over Britain since it was weakened when Frances was defeated by Germany. Hitlet bomb England's southern coast. Britian's Royal Air Forced battled the Luftwaffe for a whole month. Then Germany changed their tactics by bombing cities instead of military targets. This was important because Hitler has a good chance of taking over Britain and possibly winning all of Europe

    The Germans were stalled outside Moscow. In 1942, Hitler aimed for the rich oiled fields of the south. His troops only made it to Stalingrad. A German commander surrendered in 1942 in the battle of Stalingrad. I chose this because it was a fail on Germany.

    Operation Sea Lion was a failure, because the Luftwaffe could not gain air superiority over Britain and the British morale was not destroyed. This was important because if Hitler took over Britain, he would have a big advantage in the war

    Japan, Germany, and Italy declares war on the United States in 1941. This is how the United States of America entered the war. This was important because the United States was a big part of the war.

    Millions of women took over jobs that were usually jobs of men. Women built ships, planes, and produce munitions. British and American women served the military but did not go into war. Instead they helped by driving, delivering, and decoding. Many women from around the world helped the military and helped the community. This was important because women were the secret weapon of the war.

    The Japanese army took over many places in Asia and the Pacific. The Japanese army treated it's conqured people with torture. The army also killed civilians in Asia. Food, destroyed cities and, towns were all stopped by the Japanese army. They also made people turn into slaves. This raged many people who werent captured by the Japanese army, they made a group and started a guerilla warfare. I chose this topic because it was very intresting how the Japanese treated people back then.

    The Japanaese took over the Phillippines and killed American soldiers while 10,000 Filipino soldiers walked the Bataan Death march which was 65-miles long. I chose this because it shows how much power the Japanese had during the war.

    The allies job was to bomb and weaken German industries and the morale of it's cicvilians. For example military bases, railroads, cities, and etc. This action killed 135,000 civilians in Germany. I chose this because Germany was getting punished by the Axis.

    General Dwight Eisenhower vistied the horrors of the Holocaust and was suprised to see what the Nazis used to kill and torture the Jews. I chose this because if I was Eisenhowerd I would be very shocked and would've treat the Jews nicely.

    United States was not happy about the Soviet Union's peace treaty with Japan and Italy. The leaders of United States and Britain rejected stalins point of free elections to Eastern Europe. I chose this because nobody trusts Stalin. Russia want's more power.

    The Axis ends and the United States and Russia start a war, which is known as the Cold War. Britain and France started disliking eachother again. This was important because Russia and the others from the Axis distrusted eachother.

    When Germany was defeated in WWII they became a part of the Cold War. Germany was split and made an Eastern side and Western side. The West wanted German economy to recover and make more freedom, while west Germany is under control of Stalin.
    
    I chose this because Germany had it's own problems. Russia and United States were arguing just like a family.

    The United States and The Soviet Union participated in the Propaganda war. Apperantly it is said to be that both sides wanted world power. The Soviet Union wanted Western Imperialism while the United States wanted democracy against communism. I chose this because it was more of a vocal war and is one of the reasons that lead to the Cold War.
