    Britain and France declared war on Germany because of Germany's invaison in Poland. Followed by this invasion, the Battle of the Atlantic had begun which involved Canada. This battle was between Germany and the allies which lasted for six months. Canada was Great Britain's reinforcements which gratly increased their forces.

    Germany luanched their blitzkrieg which is "lightining war" and it is a tactic to destroy and disorganize enemy forces. Germany launched it against Holland, luxembourg, Belgium, and France.his was the same day that Winstoon Churchill was elected Prime Minister for Great Britain. Unnfortunately, on May 15, Holland was completely taken over by Germany. Following this event, Belgium had surrendered their forces to Germany as well.

    Non-aggression Pact
    Japan and Russia sig a on-aggression pact which was to ensure neutrality between the two countiries during World War II. The signers were foreign minister Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov and foreign minister Yosuke Matsuoka and ambassador Yoshitsugu Tatekawa. This pact was also followed by a signing of declaration which stated thaat the Soviet Union would respect the territorial intergrity of Manchukuo and in return Japan would repect the Mongolian People's Replublic.

    Japan attacked an American fleet at Pearl Harbor in the Hawaiian islands. 343 Japanese fighter planes, bombers, and torpedo planes attacked the base. The attack killed 2,403 Americans, 1,178 Americans were wounded, and 188 U.S. aircrafts were destroyed. Followed byb the surprise act, on December , the United States declared war on Japan. An interesting conspiracy theory wasa that high officials in both the U.S. and Great Britain knew about the attack and may have even prompted Japan to attack.

    Germany and Italy declared war on the United States whille the United States declared war on the two countries. Germany decided to declare was on the U.S. because of the attacks done to Japan. According to Anti-comintern Pact, Germany would aid Japan if the country was attacked by a third country. Even though Japan had attacked the third country first, Germany still sought to declare war on the United States.

    The second atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan was even larger and killed 39,000-80,000 Japanese. The total amount of Japanese killed from these two bombings were around 129,000- maybe more than 249,000. If the Japanese had not surrendered, the United States would've bombed another city on August 19.

    Japan surrenders just 5 days before the third atomic bomb was suppose to be dropped. Their casualties and the damages to their country were too much for them to continue war. They agreed to surrender to the Allies and opened peace negotiations. This ended World War II after many gruesome and harsh events.
