    World War 2 started when Neville Chamberlain, declared war on Germany. This started the beginning of World War 2.

  • The Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese lead a surprise attack on the U.S. The attack happened at Pearl Harbor, the U.S military base near Honolulu, Hawaii.It was a two wave attack at 7:55AM. The battle was a U.S victory.

  • Infamy Speech

    The day after the Attack on Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt made a famous speech and declared war on the Axis Power.

  • Germans and Italians Declare War on the U.S

    The Germans and Italians wanted to go to war with the U.S so they officially declared war.

  • The Beginning of the Battle of Coral Sea

    Japan wanting to knock Australia and New Zealand out of the war so they attacked Port Moresby in New Guinea.

  • The End of the Battle of Coral Sea

    The allied powered codebreakers learned Japan's communications so they knew when the Japanese were going to attack. The battle was a U.S victory.

  • The Beginning of the Battle of Midway

    The Japanese landed on the U.S base in the Midway Atoll and the U.S were off to the east of the island and were ready to battle.

  • The End of the Battle of Midway

    The U.S attacked the Japanese before they could attack the base. A few days later, Japan had to retreat from the battle. The battle was a U.S victory.

  • The Battle of D'Day

    The allied power landed on beaches to fight the axis power. The allies tricked the axis about their invasion target and put them in a trap.

  • The Beginning of the Battle of Philippine Sea

    The Japanese commander ordered 430 planes to attack the U.S. The U.S commander picked up the Japanese on their radar and the U.S attack the Japanese.

  • The End of the Battle of Philippine Sea

    The U.S shot down 300 Japanese planes and they only lost 29 of their own vessels. The battle was won by the U.S.

  • President Roosevelt's Death

    The U.S president died by a intracerebral hemorrhage which is a type of stroke. The U.S was still able to fight in the next battle during the war.

  • The Beginning Battle of Berlin

    The Soviet Union were the first to enter the Battle of Berlin. The battle ended up killing 30,000 over the course of 4 days.

  • Adolf Hitler's Death

    Adolf Hitler commited suicide by swallowing a cyanide capsule, stopping his cells from using oxygen and then shooting himself in the head.

  • The End of the Battle of Berlin

    The guns of the war stopped shooting because the Germans leader died. The Germans ended up surrendering because they couldn't continue fighting. The U.S was one step closer to winning the war.
