    This was the official start of World War 2, this is when Nazi Germany invaded Poland and France and Britian where quick to respond.     This was the start of a long battle that would last a long time. This would end up being when the Nazi u-boats tried to sink Allied boats and later the concept of the convoy and end up being a huge win for the Allies ending the German advance to North America and keeping the supplies going to Britian.     This was also a huge mistake for the Axis, messing with the US and turning the US from a neutral country to a member of the Allies. Jacob Rowsell
  • Japanese Invasion of Thailand

    Japanese Invasion of Thailand
    Japan wasn't really involved in the war, until they started agreeing with what Germany was doing. Purifying the race. After taking over China, they attacked Thailand and, Thailand went down without a fight. Now the Allies were fighting against Japan and Germany. This was the day after the Pearl Harbour attack and they say that this started the War of the Pacific.

    This ended up being a huge catastrophie for the Canadians as a huge loss to the Germans and a huge embarassment to the Canadians. But they say there was lessons learned in Dieppe, and it must have because thay used this information to help with the full scale invasion of France in 1944.

    Stalingrad
    Stalingrad and the invasion or the U.S.S.R. was Hitler's first big mistake. Thinking he could conquer Russia, Hitler sent his troops in not expecting the blockade of the Russian army. After a long, cold fight, the Nazis in Russia were forced to surrender from sheer cold and hunger.

    A military operation for the first Canadian Army. The Allies versus Germany. This small war ended on November 8, 1844 and was a win for the Allies, so they could now get shipping into Antwerp.

    Iwo Jima, a small island in the Pacific Ocean was a goal for the American Navy. The War against Japan went on throughout February of 1945, and ended on Feb.23, 1945 with the Amercian flag being raised high above the heads of the victorious Amercian Army.

    This was when people were conserned ended World War 2 and the war with Germany. This was because Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany committed suicide with a gunshot in his bunker. Hitler also died with his wife, Eva Hitler by her ingesting cyanide. Jacob Rowsell

    American Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    This was the cause of the end of war with Japan. On August 6th and August 9th 2 atomic bombs were dropped, causing devistation within Japan and forcing them into surrender but the Japaniese surrender came with a costly price with 250,000 Japaniese people dead after both atomic bombs were dropped.

    V-J Day
    This day was the formal day that Victory in Japan was declared. Japan had still been strong after Victory in Europe, but the making and dropping of the Atomic Bomb, brought Japan down fast. Japan surrendered after the second Atomic Bomb was dropped.
