    Hitler, Chamberlain, Daladier of France, and Mussolini of Italy gathered together at Munich and they agreed that Hilter should have the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia. The Czechs did not attend. When Chamberlain retured to England he had a piece of paper signed by HIlter proclaming " peace in our time."
  • Chamberial Resigns

    Chamberial Resigns
    Neville Chamberial was pressured to resign when Labour members and Winston Churchill became the head of the wartime coalition government. Chamberial did not give Churchill any support. Soon Ernest Bevin was made minster of Labour and got back together workers of the factories and set up coal production.
  • Dunkrik (operation Dynamo)

    Dunkrik (operation Dynamo)
    General Gort, the Brithish commander- in- chief and is troops was forced to retreat to the coast of Dunkrik. The troops waited under pity fire to be taken off the beaches. When a call went out to all sea-worthy vessals, more than 338,000 men were rescuesd.

    Hitler attacked Russia
    Hitler sent 3 million soliders and 3,500 tanks to Russia. The Russians were suprised because they just signed a treaty with Germany in 1939. Stalin quickly signed an assistance treaty with Britian and launched an Eastern front battle.

    The japanese attacked the US fleet. They attacked them as an action of taking Britian.The attack was also to try to take French and Dutch colonies in South East Africa.
  • Allies in North Africa

    General Alexander was told by Churchill that is main objective was to destroy German- Italy Army. He had to destroy all of the supplies and establishements in Egypt and Libya. After he did, Alexander handed the campian over to Genral Montgomery.

    Germany made an attack on Stalingrad, a Russian city. The battle lasted six months kills hundreds of thousands of German and Russian people. Stalingrad won the battle against Germany.
  • Italy surrenders

    Italy surrenders
    When Mussolini was throw out of office the new government of Italy surrendered to the British and USA. Italy had agreed to join the allies. The Germans had taken control of Italian Army.
  • Allies meet at Tehran

    Allies meet at Tehran
    Stalin, Rosevelt, and Churchill meet to discuss plans to operate an attack on Germany. They also talk about long war settlements. Churchill did not trust Stalin at all because of his wishes for a second front in France with no divisions futher East.
  • D-Day

    D-Day
    The allies attacked German forces in Norway and Western France.Thousands of transports carried an invasion army to the Norway beaches. Germans were unable to prevent the attack due to false information.
