    Who? Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Rhineland and Hitler
    What? Hitler wanted control over German speaking countries and areas
    Where? Europe (Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia)
    Why? The Anschluss was important to WW2 as it potentially created a big advantage to the Germans.
    How? The Anschluss impacted the allied forces because it gave Germany the upper hand in the war adding to the allied forces troubles.
  • Invasion of Czechoslovakia

    Invasion of Czechoslovakia
    There were four key players in the invasion of Czechoslovakia. These were the British Prime minister, Neville Chamberlain, the french premier Edouard Daladier, the Italian leader Benito Mussolini and the Nazi leader Aldolf Hitler. These four men were involved in the signing of the Munich Pact which basically sealed the fate of Czecholslovakia. This pact allowed Germany to gain control of Sudetenland. On the 16th of March German troops stormed Czechoslovakia due to the weakness of the country.

    Who: The Allied Soldiers that were trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk. With these soldiers being British, French and Belgian.
    What: It was the evacuation or the rescue of the Allied Troops that were trapped on the beach. The Dunkirk Evacuation can also be known as Operation Dynamo and the Miracle of Dunkirk.
    When: This evacuation happened during the Second World War on the 27th of May till the 4th of June.
    Where: The Dunkirk Evacuation is name from the place that both the battle and the evacuat

    The Battle of Britain
    Who: the German and British air forces.
    What: the most famous aerial battle of WWII between the German’s and the RAF.
    When: the battle started on the 10th of July and ended on the 31st of August, 1940
    Where: the battle took place in the air above London and areas surrounding many areas where decimated while others just were completely untouched. Some buildings to this day still stand with shrapnel and blast damage.
    Why: the Germans were going to take control of the English Channel

    Battle of El Alamein
    Who: The Battle of El Alamein was fought primarily between two outstanding commanders of world war 2, Montgomery, who succeeded the dismissed Auchinleck and Rommel.
    What: It was a battle where Montgomery's forces overcame Rommel's.
    Where: It was fought in North Africa.
    How: It affected Rommel and his troops as Montgomery won.

    Bombing of Dresden

    Who: The Allied forces (RAF and USAAF) killed 35 -135 000 civilians - German and refugees
    What: Concerted bombing of 'Paris of the Danube' to wipe out weapons factories, German morale, and intimidate the Russians
    Where: South-West Germany
    How: Allies were heavily criticised. Germans died
    Why: signals beginning of distrust between Churchill and Stalin
