    Hitler joined the Nazi party and quickly took over, and in 1933 the president of the Weimar Republic appointed him chancellor and in 2 years he became president and chancellor and ruled unchecked by the Reichstag. by 1935 he had completely silenced the Weimar Republic and Hitler was the only voice in Germany.

    The Japanese wanted to take Port Moresby in New Guinea where they could be a threat to Australia. to counter this US sent to Bombers USS Lexington and USS Yorktown to attack the ships. the Japanese did the same this was the first sea battle where the ships did not see one another the planes attacked the ships on both sides. even though the battle is seen as a draw it was strategical victory for the US because it caused the Japs to call of their attack on New Guinea, and it was a moral victory
