1- December 1941, Japanese aircraft attacked US Pacific fleet at its base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaiian. 8 battleships were put out of action 8 & 7 warships damaged or lost. Over 2,500 Americans were killed, the Japanese lost only 29 planes.The next day Congress declared war on Japan, which had also attacked British and Dutch.

1- On May 7, 1945, the German High Command, General Alfred Jodl, signs surrender of all German forces, East and West, at Reims, in northeastern France. 2- This is important date in history because it was very long and people from all over the world died. It was finally coming to an end and people could stop fighting and dying.

The United Nations signs the Paris peace treaty with Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, and Romania, officially declaring the end World War II.
2- This represent a treaty between the countries and is important for the generations that follow.
