    It was a meeting between France, Britain, and Germany where they made an agreement stating that Britain and France wound not oppose Germany's taking of the southern part of Czechoslovakia as long as he did not take anything else and Hitler agreed to it. It was important because it showed the other countries not to trust Hitler and that he will do whatever to succeed.

    This was a Pact signed between Germany and Soviets stating that the Soviets will not attack the Germans and the Germans will not attack Soviets. This was important because Hitler could dominate Europe without the Soviets intervention.

    It was a draft act passed by FDR before the United States started to fight in World War 2 that required all males ages 18-35 to register and offer your service for 12 months. It was important because it was the first peacetime draft administered.

    Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, a naval base in O'ahu, Hawaii. The Japanese destroyed 19 ships, 188 planes, and killed 2,400 people. It was important because it launched the United States into war with Japan.

    Executive Order 9066

    Japanese Americans that were born in Japan (Issei), 1st Generation (Nisei), and 2nd Generation (Sansei) were forced into Interment camps where over 120,000 stayed for 4 years. They were considered a threat to national security and were all forced into military controlled zones. This was important because it was a way to decipher the loyalty of the Japanese Americans

    It stands for Women's Auxiliary Army Corps. Women worked in factories and in the army doing jobs that their husbands and other men did before they went off to war. It was important because it gave women the chance to prove they can do jobs instead of working at home

    Lasted from August 23, 1942 - February 2, 1943 in Russia. Soviets fought the Germans alone which lead to a Soviet victory. It was important because it stopped German advancement into eastern Europe

    The Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy, France to invade France which was occupied by the Germans. 156,000 soldiers stormed the five beaches named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. It was important because it started the end of German occupation of France

    Battle of the Bulge

    It lasted from December 16, 1944 - January 25 1945 and took place in the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. It was very cold and the Germans caught the Allies by surprise which caused there to be a lack of supplies and contact with each other. Germany eventually pulled back leading to an allied victory. It was important because it pushed Germany's western front back.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima

    Bombing of Hiroshima

    It was when the United States dropped there first atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima to get Japan to surrender. The bomb was carried by a plane called the Enola Gay flown by Colonel Paul Tibbets. The bomb initially killed 70,000 people but the effects of radiation years later killed 200,000 people. It was important because it was step forward in ending the war with Japan.
