The Allies reached Paris. On August 25, the liberated French forces, supported by Allied troops, enter the French capital. Than later in December virtually all of France, most of Belgium, and some part of Netherlands are set free.

Hitler committed suicide alongside his wife Eva Braun. The suicide was in his Führerbunker in Berlin. No one knows the exact way he died. The exact cause of death was either from the cyanide capsule he took, or the self inflicted gun shot. The Soviets set fire to both of their bodies. Doused with petroleum their body’s turns to ash.

The US dropped the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. The aircraft, Enola Gay, delivered the bomb. The atomic bomb killed 40 thousand Japanese citizens in an instant. Furthermore, 80 thousand died from radiation poisoning from the bomb. The atomic bomb scarred the generations of people in Japan.
