On this date Adolf Hitler became the chancellor of Germany. People believed that he would become a great leader of Germany. At this time no one thought he would start World War 2. -

On this date in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii there was an unexpected bombing at a military base. It was in the morning. Japan pilots flew over the base and started dropping bombs desroying many stuff and sinking some ships. After this the U.S. declared war on Germany, Italy and Japan. -

On this date Italy surrenred to the allied powers. Italy was losing soldiers fast and didn't want to lose much more. German forces still occupied most of Italy though. -

On this date nearly 3 million allied powers soldiers land on Normandy, France in hope to take back France. They lost tons of soldiers but the Germans lost even more. The allied powers won this battle. -

On this date the U.S. annonced that Hitler had died. They never annoced how he had though. There was many diffrent therioes such as he commited suicide, they shot him, they hung him, and he might have escaped to South America. No one knows for surley what happened. -
The atomic bomb of Nagaski
On this date the U.S. dropped another bomb in Japan. They dropped it on a slightly bigger city to make the war over. This bomb killed a lot more people so Japan didn't want to lose any more people to bombs. They decieded to surrender. -
War over
On this date the war officially ends. The Japanese surreneder after two major nuclear bombs wiped out two cities. It ended on battleship Missori.
