World War 2

  • A Non-Gression Pact was signed

    The pact was signed by the Russians and Germans. It stating that they would not invade each others borders. Instead Hitler and Stalin secretly planed to divid Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe between them.
  • World War II Begins

    Germany invaded Poland when the military force was unprepared for the ferocity of their attack. Britain and France declared war on Germany when efforts to negotiate a withdrawal fail. This was the start of World War II.
  • The Battle of Britain Begins

    It was a three months fight. The battle was fought in the skies over Britain. The war included bombing raids on London and other cities.
  • Lend-Lease act was passed

    This act was very important to WWII. Franklin Roosevelt was the one who convinced the Congress to pass the act. This act allowed the U.S to sell or lend war material to any country.
  • Pearl Habor Attack

    This is when the U.S came into WWII. Japan laughed an attack on U.S Naval fleet at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. When U.s Declared war on Japan, Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S.
  • Stalingrad

    This battle was when Germany started their attack on the Russian city of Stalingrad. Lasted six months and killed hundreds of thousands German and Russian lives. This battle was a turning point in the war because Germany started to retreat from the Eastern Front.
  • U.S and British Join Forces

    The U.S Troops joined forces with British troops during WWII. The U.S troops was lead by the Generals Dwight Eisenhower and George S. Patton. The British troops was led by Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery. They teamed up to defeat the Field Marhal Erwin Rommel in North America.
  • The meeting of the Big Three.

    This meeting was important because this was the first time the three big leaders meet up with each other. The three leaders was Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin. The reason they all meet up with each other was to discuss the invasion of Italy.
  • U.S Targets German Aircrafft Production centers

    The U.S targeted Germans Aircrarft Production centers with massive bombs. Shortly after this more than 600 U.S bombers raid Berlin. Even though U.S was bombing the centers, Germans was able to maintain good weapons and aircrafts production levels.
  • D-Day

    D-Day was a very important battle in WW2. There was over 160,000 Allied troops and over 30,000 vechicals that landed along the French coastline that begin to fight on the beaches of Normandy. So many troops lost their life in this battle because of the disadvantage of being shot at from the top of hills while coming onto the land.
