    Also on the 27th of September Stalin’s Red Army invaded Poland and cut off any escape route to the east. Stalin then captured 200,000 prisoners. To the Russians, Poland no longer existed. The few Poles in Warsaw asked Hitler for a truce, but they were quickly turned down and bombed into surrender.

The task called 'Dynamo' was called in to action and 7,669 men on the first day and 17,804 on the second. were saved by 700 little ships which consists of fishboats etc. It was a two day operation due to the fact Germany were expected to push into Dunkirk in 54 hours.

    At 7.55am on Sunday 7 December 1941, the first of two waves of Japanese aircraft began their deadly attack on the US Pacific Fleet, moored at Pearl Harbor on the Pacific island of Oahu. Within two hours, five battleships had been sunk, another 16 damaged, and 188 aircraft destroyed. Only by luck three US aircraft carriers, usually stationed at Pearl Harbor but assigned elsewhere on the day were saved . The attacks killed under 100 Japanese but over 2,400 Americans, with another 1,178 injured.

The battle-hardened general, conscious that the mobile tank battle was Rommel’s forte, unleashed the Battle of El Alamein as a battle of attrition, using his huge advantages in artillery, infantry and supplies. After two weeks of intense fighting, Commonwealth forces had reduced the German tank force to 35, pressuring the remnants of Axis forces into retreat.

    June 6, 1944, 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. General Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade. More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end on June 6, the Allies gained a foot- hold in Normandy. The D-Day cost was high -more than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded

The project started 1939 September 2nd and was finally used in the Japnese cities on incidcent people.
