In Schlitz v. Wheaton Glass Co. a US court appeals rules that jobs held by men and women need to be "substaintly equal" but not "identical" to fall under the protection of the Equal Pay Act.

Mrs. Magazine

Mrs. Magazine is published in the New York magazine. 300,000 copies are sold out in 8 days. The magazine becomes the major forum for feminist voices. Cofounder and editor Gloria Steinem is launched as an icon of the modern feminist movement.
