The slave ship "Antelope" was seized by an american vessel. The case was brought forth to the supreme court. They declared th eslave trade to be a violation of natural law. -

Mexico outlaws slavery to prevent further American expansion. Newly freed slaves were forced to sign Life-Indenture contracts. -

Shadrach Minkins was kidnapped and sold back into slavery. Before he coud be freed again, he was rescued by a group of African Americans. -
