    The Mormon Church and Indigenous child removal.

  • The Greek empire went bankrupt as a result of struggling in the ruins left by 400 years of Ottoman domination, having many of their islands ruled by English and Italians, and having their northern regions remaining under Turkish sovereignty.

  • The Turks decimated the Greeks, and the Great Powers further humiliated them by putting financial authority over them.

  • The main industry of Greek, which was the "currant crop" failed and it forced Greek families to mortgage their lands so that their sons can go to America.

  • Thousands of Greek worked in the Carbon Country mines and on railroad gangs in eastern Utah and western Colorado.

  • A white mormon couple from Spanish Fork (the Carters), filed a petition to the Fourth District Court of Utah country, to adopt a Navajo 3-year old boy whom they had fostered for 2-3 months.

  • The last Indian residential school closed. And the first Indian residential school opened during the late 19th century.
