Walt Disney is born in Chicago, IL. He was born to his mother and father Elias and Flora Disney.He is one of five children with three brothers, Roy, Herbert, and Raymond, and one sister, Ruth ("Walt Disney Biography"). Walt Disney moved to California because he knew that he wanted to work in animation, but he also knew that he had a long way to go before he got there. He once said in an interview, "What I wanted to do was get a job in a studio-any studio, doing anthing" ("The Wide World of Walt Disney"). Walt Disney marries Lillian
Walt Disney met his wife while she was a secretary for Disney Studio. Walt had once said that he couldn't afford to pay her so he married her. Walt and Lillian were married in Lillian's home state of Idaho. After Walt's death Lillian never remarried and she lived to be the age of 98 dying on December 16, 1997. Walt Disney wins an Oscar for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Walt Disney's first great movie came in the animation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This movie became a great hit within a very short time. Walt Disney ended up winng an Oscar for this movie. Death of Walt Disney
Walt Disney died a mear ten days after his birthday because of his fight with lung cancer. He was only diagnsed a few months before this and had a very short fight that he did not win. He left both his daughters and his wife to live on without him ("Walt Disney Biography").
