Voting by Mail
In Wisconsin, 41% of votes were cast through absentee by mail-in ballots, with many using drop boxes to deliver their ballots. This compares to 46% of all 2020 voters who cast their ballots by mail or absentee methods. 8,9* -
Record High UW-Madison Voter Turnout
UW-Madison students turned out to vote in record breaking numbers via mail-in absentee ballots, early voting and at the polls on Election Day. The voting rate was 72.8%. 10,11* -
UW-Madison Honored by ALL IN
UW-Madison was honored by ALL IN for having the highest student voter registration and voter turnout among four-year colleges in Wisconsin. 12* -
College Republicans and College Democrats Debate
College Republicans, the only certified Republican student organization on the UW-Madison campus, debated the College Democrats on April 14, 2021 to engage UW students in politics. 13* -
Ban on Drop Boxes in Wisconsin
The Wisconsin state Supreme Court upholds a ban on drop boxes for the 2022 spring primary in a vote of 4-3. The ban occurred in response to a lawsuit brought forth by the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty. This will impact many voters who relied on drop boxes in 2020. 14* -
