On June 6th 1940, Italy declared war on France and Great Britain. The national defence minister of Canada Norman Roger was killed in a plane crash that very day. Canadian parliament agreed to going to war against Italy, and they sent their proposal to Mackenzie King to read over. That same day Canada officially declared war on Italy.
