In 1792 in a harbor near Cook inlet, Alaska, as shown in Voyage de Vancouver. In 1792 George Vancouver took his discovery around the Cape of good hope to the Northwestern coast of North America. There he became the first man to accurately and to announce positively that no Northwestern Passage existed south of the Arctic Ocean.
