    Was the first detailed and written constitution in America.

  • Mercantilism

    It was an economic system between Great Britain and its colonies. It upset the colonists because they felt like it violated their freedom to trade in with other countries.

    It set a literally line where British settlers could not set. It angered colonists because it prohibited colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountain range.

    It was an act the required a stamp to be put on printed paper products. Britain needed to implement this because it helped pay off the debt caused by the french and Indian war.

    The Boston massacre was a group of people protesting about taxes. What led to it to become a massacre was that the British solider got things thrown at them which led to 5 colonists death. Including Crispus Attucks who was " the first death of the revolution".

    It was a political protest by the sons of liberty. The sons of liberty were a group who disguised themselves as Indians and dumped tea into the Boston harbour. Their leader was Samuel Adams.

    It caused them to write the declaration of Independence.

    First time all of the 12 colonies met together to discuss their problems (grievances) with Great Britain.

    The first battle of the revolution and is know as the " shot heard around the world".

    It was a pamphlet that helped spread word about why the colonies should become independent. It was written by Thomas Paine.

    Important people at this George Washington, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson.The important document written here was the draft of Declaration of Independence and was written by George Washington.

    George Washington was the leader. Many of his troops died due to freezing conditions and lack of supplies (food,proper clothing).

    Marquis de Lafayette helped and he was from France. The outcome was it ended the British surrendering which ended the revolutionary war.
