German Invasion of Poland
The battle was fought Poland, eastern Germany, and the Free City of Danzig. The battle was fought from Sept. 1 to Oct. 6, 1939. The countries that fought the battle were the German, Poland, Soviet Union, Free City of Danzig and Slovak Republic. The battle is important because it was how the blitzkrieg was formed by Hitler, as well as World War II began. -
Battle of Belgium
It was a part of the Battle of France and was fought from 10–28 May 1940 in Belgium and Luxembourg. Germany, Belgium, France, UK and the Netherlands were in the battle. This battle is important because it was the first tank battle of the war and it was also the largest tank battle at that time. The Belgium lost at the end of the battle. -
Battle of Britain.
The battle was fought at the British airspace from July 10 - Oct. 31, 1940. The United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and Italy fought the battle. This battle is important because it was the first time the Germany military forces defeated and had their win. America had an opinion in this battle and believed that the UK would survive. -
Battle of Crete
The battle was fought in Crete, Greece. It was fought from May 20 to June 1, 1941. It was important because it marked the won of the Crete civilians over the German Nazi. The German lost 5500 were killed, with the percentage of casualties was over 25%. -
Battle of Moscow
The battle was fought in Moscow Oblast and Russia. It was fought from Oct. 2, 1941 to Jan. 7, 1942. It was important because it marked the beginning in Soviet’s counter offensive. They stopped the German and made them to surrender. -
Pearl Harbor
The battle was fought at Pearl Harbor on Oahu Island, Hawaii. The United States was attacked by Japan. The importance of this battle is it led America to get involved in WWII. It also helped the US to realize that Japan actually prepared to have war with them before so they attacked with well-prepared pilots. The end result of the Battle was US military lost 3400 people including more than 2300 people were killed. The US planned to join the WW2. -
Battle of Kursk
The battle was fought from July 5–August 23, 1943, around the city of Kursk in western of Russia. The Soviet Union and the German were in the battle. This battle is important because it marked the failure of German enemy with its surprise attack plan. It was the largest tank battle in the past. -
Battle of Anzio
The battle was fought from Jan. 22 to June 5, 1944 in Anzio and Nettuno. The countries that fought the battle were the US, Germany, Italy, UK and Canada. The battle is important because it showed the want of the pressure from Allied to Germany enemy and surprisingly attacked France. The Allied had 7000 killed people and 36000 were missing. The German had 5000 killed people and 30500 were missing and 4500 captured. -
Battle of Bulge
The battle was fought in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, it was fought from Dec. 16, 1944 to Jan. 25, 1945. It was important because it marked the last major Nazi offensive during WW 2. This war was Hitler’s plan to separate the Allied. The German failed, was defeated and the Europe’s war ended sooner. -
Battle of Berlin
The battle was fought in Berlin, Nazi Germany. It was fought from April 16 to May 2, 1945. It was important because it marked deadline the winning of the Soviet Union. It was more important because Hitler actually suicided. WW II ended in Europe as well as the Nazi Germany.
