    Magna Carta
    The Magna Carta was made on 1215 and it is recognized as one of the first most important documents in history. King John signed this document saying that everyone is a subject to the law and has their rights.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War started between the British and French from 1754-1763. The whole purpose for this war was to gain control of North America. The British won the battle and as an end result of the war the British were left in a huge debt.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    As the result of the French and Indian war the colonist had to pay high amount of taxes to reduce the debt. So one of the taxes was placed on stamps. If you were to put a stamp on newspapers or important legal documents You would have to pay that tax fees.
  • Townsend Act

    Townsend Act
    This Act was a numerous amounts f laws that were about taxes placed on British goods which caused the colonist to be angry. Taxes were placed on things such as tea, stamps, paper , glass, and etc.

    The Tea act was officially approved to place tax on British tea by the parliament.

    The Boston Tea party was an event that colonist wanted to protest showing their views that they didn’t like being taxed with representation. So soon after they created a plan and decided to not buy any British goods and dress up as Indians and dump all the British tea into the ocean from a ship.

    Lexington & Concord was the first battle of the American Revolution. The most common phrase associated by Lexington and concord was “the shot heard around the world” which happened between the British and colonist to indicate that a huge war began the moment that shot was fired.
