In 1607, the first succesfull settlement was established by the English Settlers. It later became known as Jamestown, and served as the foundation for which America was built.

The French and Indian War can be known as the "The First World War," or more popularly as "The Seven Years War." Many countries including: Austria, England, France, Great Britain, Prussia and Sweden. This battle was ultimately over colonial domination and led to drastic consequences on both sides... the biggest being a weakened relationship between the 13 colonies and Royal Crown.
