    Populism and Progressivism
    Populism was created by farmers and people in the agriculture industry. They were thinking people were going to take away the things they liked so they created a populist party to fight against it. Progressivism was created by the middle class in the early 20th century. The movement was created because the middle class felt like they were not being treated fairly.

    Haymarket Riot
    This was a bloody fight with the police and protestors. A bomb was thrown by an anarchist. Officers were killed and some citizens were hurt. Police heard and started shooting. Many more got killed and injured.

    Dawes Act
    Allowed the president to look at and divide indian land for individual indians. The people who separated from their tribes were able to become U.S. Citizens.

    This amendment prohibited the manufacturing, selling, and transporting of alcoholic goods. This amendment got repealed in 1930 however.
  • 19th Amendments

    19th Amendments
    This created equal woman voting rights. The amendment states that voting should not be denied by the U.S. or any other state.
