    European Theater of World War 2
    Is also known as the European war.
    The European Theater is the area where a large collection of battles happened all thoughout WW2 in Europe.
    It started with Germany's invasion of Poland on September 1st
    It ended wih Germany's surrender and the end of WW2
  • Manhattan Project

    Manhattan Project
    This was a research and developmental project that resulted in the building of nuclear bombs that was later used in Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan which consequently ended WW2.
    Los Alamos, New Mexico was where the building of the bombs took place.

    A. Phillip Randolph
    Randolp was a leader in the African American Civil rights movement, the African labor movement, and socialist politcal parties. In 1941 he organized a March on Washington to help get more rights for African Americans,. This march succedded in getting President Fanklin Roosevelt to issue Executive Order 8802 which banned discrimination is defense organizations

    This act permitted President Franklin Roosevelt to sell, exchange, lease, or lend to any foreign governemnt whose defense he felt was needed to keep the United States safe
  • American Mobilization

    American Mobilization
    American citizens thoroughly helped the US by mobilizing for World War Two, although the US had already started by producing weaponry and war equipment for other counries who were already in the war. Once they joined the war, the americans started a system of rationing to help gather more supplies to the soldiers. They also put money into war bonds which hleped the government pay for more things to assist in the war.

    Japanese Fighter planes attacked Pearl Harbor, an American naval base near Hawaii.This attack killed 2000 American soldiers and wounded 1000 soldiers. The day after this attack the US declared war on Japan and entered Worl War Two

    a collection of all the major wars that occured within the islands on the Pacific Ocean between the Allies and Japan.

    This was the forced relocation of people of Japanese, German, or Italian descent during WW2. This occured because the U.S feared that hidden within the civilians of the U.S were people who sympathized with the enemy at hand, so they gathered people who had an connection to these foreign countires and kept them in one place to help keep america safer from any possible threats.

    6 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, american soldiers caused a turning point in the Pacific Theater. The Battle of Midway was the first victory for the Allies during their time in the war.

    Also known as the Battle of Normandy, D-Day was one of the biggest attacks in history. Around 150 thousand of the Allied army landed on France's Normand region and invaded 5 islands throughout. The result of this was the liberation of all of northern France.

    This was the last major battle of World War Two. It ended with the surrender of Germany forces and the suicide of Adolf Hitler and the murder of his family
