    Women went on strike for job and not having fair rights. This was the first union of working women in America. Other places like this the women were admirred ,but it was like hell for the workers here.

    Atlanta's Washerwomen Strike

    Even though slavery was behind them thousands of black females strikes for higher wages. They also striked for respect on their work. They gained so many people they could've started general strike.
  • Great Southwest Railroad Strike

    Great Southwest Railroad Strike

    By 1886 the railroad company had alot of workers. This is why they striked. Around 200,000 peoples went of strike.
  • McKee rock strike

    This is one of the greatest labor fights ever to happen. This strike had between 5,000 and 8,000 people in it. This strike happened at Presse Steel Car Co.

    In 1911 a fire broke out on the top floors of traingle shirtwaist factory. The ladders the firefighters use wouldn't reach that high. Around 146 workers died out of the 500 workers.

    The right to work law is something that pervents union security agreements. This law doesn't aim to get people more jobs ,but have a better relationship between the employer and boss. This law now exists in 25 States.
  • Lockout

    Lockout

    A lockout is a temporary stop of working due to a labor dispute. This is a different thing than a strike. During this time employers can hire part-time.
