    Ultrasounds Invented

Ultrasounds were first used for medical purposes, Tom Brown and Obstetrician Ian Donald. They were the first people who crafted the prototype system. The ultrasounds were used for screening, for fetal anomalies, prediction of pre-eclampsia and preterm birth, detection of ectopic gestation, evaluation of pelvic masses, screening for ovarian cancer and fertility management. Ultrasound guided procedures are now essential components of fetal therapy and IVF treatment.

    ultrasounds in the 200's

Ultrasound equipment has gotten physically smaller, generates less heat and has become more power efficient. These upgrades, along with vast enhancements in image quality, have pushed ultrasound into the point-of-care setting. Ultrasounds today are mostly used for pregnancies and seeing the child, other than looking at organs and other things to see if they're in good shape.
