Imperialism is American influence on other countries. The Spanish-American war was between America and Spain that lasted 3 months. It ended with America defeating Spain and taking there land and showed the rest of the world who America is. -
World War One
World War One was a world wide war that started because 1 nation fought another nation but both nations had allies.The war started on July 28, 1914 and lasted until November 11, 1918. The war brought America into the battle later on and got 9 million soldiers killed. Germiny later agreed to a treaty which ended the war. The war brought alot of new weaponry to use which are still used today. -
Prohibition/Roaring 20's
The Prohibition was the ban of alcohal and was put in the Constitution as Admendment 18. This ban however did bring more criminal activity and an example is St.Valentines Day massacre on February 14, 1929. On March 22, 1933 President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act which weighed the amount of alcohol to 3.2% of the weigth. -
The Great Depression
The Great Depression was a time where unemployments, poverty, low profets, and low farm incomes. The Great Depression was really felt when Wall Street crashed in October 1929. The Great Depression was ended when World War II happened and brought people into work. -
World War II
Worl War II was from September 1, 1939 to September 2, 1945 and is the deadleist conflict in human history. There were 100 million people and over 30 countries and it resulted at 85 million casualties and was a battle between the Allies and the Axis. The Allies won with 61 million dead and the Axis lost with 12 million dead. After the war the Allies adopted the name, The United Nation in October 24, 1945. -
Pearl Harbor
On the island of Oahu Japanese bombers bombed The Headquarters of the United States Pacific Fleet . The bombing brought America into World War II and America in response dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki which brought Japan to surrender to the allies. -
The Cold War
The Cold War was political and military tension between America and Russia. After the first drops of the atomic bomb 2 major powers started making these weapons and using them to threaten with power. It was 50 years of multiple wars and civil wars. -
The Korean War
The Korean War was a civil war with North and South Korea. The north was supported by China and south supported by The United Nations. The fighting ended with an treaty to keep the border on the 38th Parallel. -
The Vietnam War
War between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The north had the support from China and the south had support from America. America helped the south because they didn't want Vietnam to turn into a communist country. On Augast 15, 1973 the war ended and Vietnam became reunited again. -

Imperialism included the annexation of Hawaii that became America's 50th state. The Panama canal was part of the American Imperialism that connected the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean that streches 44 miles. -

The Gulf War was a battle that started when Iraq wanted to attack and anex Kuwait and get its supply of oil. America in response led by Geore Bush attacked Saddam Husan to get bach Kuwait. Saddam Husan got hung by his on people after the war. -
9/11
On September 11, 2001 4 passanger airlines are stolen under al-Qaeda terrorists. Two of the planes flew into the World Trade Center buildings in New York. 1 plane was flown into the pentagon and the last plane was heading towards Washington but crashed instead. -
Operation Enduring Freedom
Operation Enduring Freedom or War in Afghanistan was to dismantle the al-Queda group in Afghanistan. In Philippines American soldiers were sent to train the people in the counter terrorists efforts. -
Operation Iraqi Freedom
The Iraq War had started when America invaded it. America claimed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The United Nations Sercurity Council had pass resolution 1441 that made Iraq listen to UN weapon inspectors. -
Invasion of Iraq
It was a battle to save the Iraqi people. It concluded with the U.S. army taking Baghdad the capitol of Iraq.
