    Black death
    The Black Death otherwise know as The Plauge was one of the worst pandemics in human history. The Plauge killed anywhere from 75 to 200 million people in Europe. It was thought to be started in central asia spread very widely to Europe killing about 30-60% of the population in the 14th century

    Italy
    Italy Was the official place where the renaissance started. The reason Italy was first was because the people there where the first to get the plague. Which also meant they were the first to get rid of it. Having so many less people in their population there was alot more money. Not only were the people in Italy becoming rich Italy was a main trading center that got Italy many people coming from different places and creating new ideas making Italy the best and very rich!

    The Medici came to Florence in the 12th century. The Medici family were wool merchants and bankers. Giovanni de Medici started the Medici bank. His son, Cosimo de Medici became leader of the Florence city-state in 1434. They ruled for the next for the next 200 years. the medici family were also big patrons of the arts.

    Chinese Inventions
    Much like today many important things were invented in China during the renaissance. One f these inventions was the printing press. They made this using moveable but it wasent very good for the chineese language because there were way to many letters. Having only 26 letters in the english language it was great for the printing of books and made things alot faster.

    Trade started in 1453. There were two trade routes durring the reniassance. There was the Venetian in the south and the Hanseatic in the south. These trade routes were very important because trade was a huge part of their economy. Thats how they got money and supplies.

    Leonardo De Vinci
    Leanardo De Vinci was one of the most famous painters in history.he used reniassance ideas when he painted The Mona LIsa which is probably the most well known painting in the world. He also painted the Last Supper and created a flying machine he just didnt have the technology to make it work.

    Raphael was a wonderfull painter during the renaissance. He created a painting called the School of Athens. It featured many different fantastic people in history. While also using a great deal of perspective.

    Michelangelo
    Michelangelo painted the whole sistine chaple he used the technique called fresco where you wet the plaster and then paint on it. He did this to prserve colors. This type of painting was very hard because you couldnt redo it. It all had to be done perfect the first time while the plaster was still wet.

    The prince was a book written by Machiavelli. It is all about how to rule and rules for being the best prince. One section talks about weather it is better to be feared or loved. As a prince you want to be both. The prince is reletively short and was published in 1532. 5 years after Machiavelli's death.

    WIlliam Shakespeare was born 26 April 1564 and died 23 April 1616. Shakespeare was a poet, actor, and playwrite. Sometimes known as the greatest writier of the english language.
