    1. VV Cephei is a funny name for a star but I would not laugh because it is the second biggest star in the solar system that we know of. It is about 2 400 light years away from earth. It was found in 1937.

1.VY Canis Majoris is the biggest star in the world no scratch that it is the biggest recorded star in solar and scientific history. The star in our solar system that we call the sun is about 2100 times smaller than this star in radios that is huge since the sun is about 109 times the size of earth. That is 109x2100 so that star is 228 900 times the size of earth. It is usually called the red hyper giant. The star is located roughly
4,900 light-years from Earth. it was found in 1976.

This star is 20 000 light-years away and is located in the constellation Monoceros. It is supper big if you take in consideration that it is one star out of zillions. It may be larger than either Mu Cephei or VV Cephei A, but because of its distance from the Sun its actual size is difficult to tell.

KY Cygni is at least 1420 times the radius of the Sun, but some estimates would have it topping this list at a whopping 2,850 solar radii. However, the actual value is thought to lie closer to the lower bound, bringing it down to number 7 on my list.

This star is eight on my list because it is still growing. Representing the constellation Sagittarius, this red supergiant is no slouch at 1460 times the radius of our Sun.

Once thought to rival Canis Majoris this red hypergiant located in the constellation Dorado has recently been determined to be about 1,540 times the radius of the Sun. it was thought to be in a galaxy far away but is actually just outside the milky way.

Now that I have come to the nearing the end I realize that a lot of stars are named Cephei, including this one. This star is smaller in is galaxy but compared to other galaxy’s stars this is the ninth biggest us humans have discovered.

The third biggest star in the universe is named mu Cephei. It’s about 1650 times the diameter of our sun. It is also one of the most luminous stars in the Milky Way galaxy, at more than 38,000 times the Sun's luminosity.

It is the last star on my list but do not think it get under looked. Have you ever looked up at the sky through a telescope? You might just catch a glimpse of it. It is closer than most other stars at only 640 light-years from Earth.
