Moving forward to the late 1400’s-1600’s, Chinese dentist introduced the first ‘modern’ toothbrush of it’s time. These ‘modern’ brushes (which were actually used in the same manual fashion as the toothbrushes of today), were developed using plucked hairs off of cold climate pigs which were then pasted onto bamboo sticks or animal bones.

Then in 1780, entered a man named William Addis, who introduced the Chinese way to England.William Addis has been credited as the first person to mass produce the toothbrush.

this toothbrush is Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte’s toothbrush and was made between 1790 and 1820.

In 1938, the toothbrush evolved once again, when nylon bristles were used instead of animal hair. A company called DuPont de Nemours introduced the first toothbrushes with nylon bristles. The first such toothbrush was called Dr. West’s Miracle-Tuft Toothbrush.
