The messsage was brought up to the bridge. -
A message was sent from the Californian but was not recorded.

Earlery the captain had given the message to Mr. Ismay ,chairman of the White Star Line. The captain asked Mr. Ismay for the message so he could post it on the chart room.

At 11:40 the Iceberg was seen. Shortly after if was seen the Titanic started to turn and began to stop. Because it was going too fast it still hit the iceberg.

A Message was sent out at 12:25 am to nearby ships, saying "Come at once, we have struck a berg"

At 12:30 am all the passengers are told that they should get into lifeboats. All the women and children are instructed to get into the lifeboats first..

They started lowering lifeboats into the water on the starboard.

At 2:00 AM Asian hears SOS. There are 660 people in lifeboats, 1500 still on board.
