  • North Adams Strike. North Adams, Massachusetts

    The orignal workers wanted fairer work hours and initated a strike toewards the business and in turn they were replaced by Chinese immigrants who would work for less and more hours.
  • Tompkins Square Riot, New York

    The high numbers of unemployed people demanded the government to help calm the depression down and many organizations were not willing to help with the problem which spun into a problem within the people causing them to take matters into their own hands and start a riot in Tompkins Square.
  • Homestead Strike, Pennsylvania

    Workers received less pay and more working hours due to Henry Frick's demands given by Carnegie's permission and soon enough the workers had enough and barricaded the steel factory marking it as their ownership. Henry Frick hired the Pinkertons to deal with them which resulted in a devastating event killing 16 people in total with many injuries.

    This strike was a disruption towards the railroad services by the use of destruction and boycotting. The strike was a two-time connection.

    Newsboys Strike, New York City

    This strike was a youth-led campaign to lessen the price of newspapers. This strike ended when their work hours have been lessened so they won't be selling newspapers late at night.
  • Ludlow Massacre, Colorado

    This was an anti-strike militia that initiated a mass killing of strike workers in Colorado. Many coal miners died along with their families resulting in 25 deaths and 11 of which are children.
