    During the Civil War Abraham Lincoln became president of the United States. He was the first replubican president elected.

    Civil War: Gettysburg Battle
    One of the bloodiest battle happened during the Civil War. The battle lasted for days and had 51,112 casualties.

    Civil War: Assassination
    Abraham Lincoln got assassinated at Washington, D.C. The Recconstuctiong got slowed down because of his death.

    Andrew Johnson became president of the United States. After Lincoln death the vice president had to step up and it was president Johnson.

    The Ku Klux Klan was founded during the Reconstruction. The KKK was against everybody they believed that was un-American.

    The African Ameracans was doing a walk for voting rights. Got attacked by State troopers and the Dallas County Sheriff's Department.
