    The Battle of Britain was a significant turning point in the war for Germany's failed attempt to invade Britain. This victory was significant to the Allied Powers in keeping Britain out of Germany power and keep them from turning to the Axis Powers.
  • Pearl Harbor

    When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, one of the US strongest and largest military bases, it was the final attack that officially brought America into WWII. More than 2,400 Americans died and much of America's military artillery was destroyed.

    After America surrendered the Bataan Peninsula over to the Japanese, the Japanese ordered 75,000 Filipino and American people on a 65 mile march to their prison camps. Thousands died on their way to the camps.

    The Battle of Normandy (also known as D-Day) resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi control. 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces participated in this event. The invasion was one of the largest military assaults in history.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    In an attempt to split the Allied army, Adolf Hitler did a surprise blitzkrieg thrust through the Ardennes to Antwerp, catching the Americans off guard the allied forces desperately fought battles to hinder German advances. As the Germans drove deeper into the Ardennes, the allied line took on the appearance of a large bulge in hopes to stop them.
