  • Tablets for Testing Urine Glucose Became Available

    Before this. They were just giving insulin without knowing a blood sugar, so now they could some what tell a blood glucose.
  • Glucagon Introduced to Treat Hypoglycemia

    Now you could stop a patient from dying of low blood sugar
  • First Glucose Meter Used in Clinics

    Now they could check a blood sugar and give insulin based on that.
  • Continuous Glucose Monitoring and Insulin Infusion Available

    This was the first step to widely available cgms. And artificial pancreas’s.
  • Portable Insulin Pumps Introduced

    Now you could give insulin anytime. And not have to go to a doctor.
  • Synthetic Insulin Produced

    Now insulin could be produced cheap, and fast. And yet they still sell it for like 200 dollars a vial.
  • Tight Glucose Control Shown to Reduce Complications in Type 1 Diabetes

    Now we are basically at modern times. We have an insulin pump. A cgm. And if you control your glucose, the side effects of diabetes lessen.
