    Archduke assassination
    On June 18,1914, Archduke Franz of Austria and his wife, Sofie was both shot dead. The person that shot them was a Bosnian serb nationalist. The killing of Archduke was the start of a chain reaction that started world war 1 by august that same year. World war 1 then lasted for around five year afterwards. I would give a -2 ranking because this was the event that got a-lot of solder and people to die and also the leader of Austria. This event is really netgaive and that is why it is ranked -2.
  • Austria Hungry declares war on Serbia

    Austria Hungry declares war on Serbia
    One month after the killing of the Austria leader was killed in Sarajevo. Austria Hungry declares war on Serbia and that is the start of World War 1. Beforehand when Austria give Serbia a list of demand, Serbia allowed all of them expect for one and this gave a reason for Austria to attack. I will give this event a -2 because this is how million and millions of people died and for the one that survived were very injuries most of the time and also had ADHD from the experience.

    Canada was apart of the British empire and as a result when great Britain declared war in 1914, Canada also declared war. Tens and thousand of Canadian soldiers join the war during the first few months of the war. By the end of the war about 619,000 Canadians had sign up to be apart of the war and was a huge number considering Canada at the time had about 8 million people. So about 7 percent of Canada was in uniform at some point. I will rate this a -1 because it is war but not a negative way.

    Before the world war 1,women's role is socity was usually to clean up the house and take care of their children. When the demand for annunition shells grew, women were reuited to manfacture weapons. By 1918 almost a milion women were employed in some aspect of munition work. Factory work paid pretty well most of the time and women got an oppunity to do something else than household work. I will give this event a rank of 1 because it is the frist time most women got to do work and not at home

    On January 28,1916 women in Manitoba had the right to vote after the lieutenant governor passed a law for it. Two years before on January 27,1914 a large group of men and women appeared before the Manitoba legislative Assembly to make the case for women's suffrage. This group of people were lead by nellie McClung. So in December 1915 the group delivered a petition with 40,000 signatures. Later Saskatchewan and Alberta also followed suit. I give this 1 because this is the first step of equality .

    The Spanish flu was a pandemic that happened during 1918 and was one of the deadliest pandemic in history. It was infected about 500 million people worldwide, with an estimated that 20 million to 50 million were killed because of it. At the time of the flu there was no vaccine or drug that could solve the problem and therefore everyone was ordered to stay at home and wear masks. I will give this a rating of -2 because so many people have died from this flu but now days we have better medication

At 5 am,that morning, Germany was faced with man power and supplies and faces with imminent invasion, has signed a treaty called the armistice agreement. At the end of the First World War left 9 million soldiers died and 21 million wounded.As well as 5 million civilians died from disease,starvation, or exposure to dangerous things. I would give this a 1 because it is the end of the war that killed so many people.

    The Winnipeg strike of 1919 was one of the most influential strikes in Canadian history, and became the platform labour reforms. The reason for this strike was because solders returning from world war 1 couldn't get their jobs back and the tension was rising high.The workers was fighting for fair wages. So on 11:00 Am on May 15 1919 walked off the job and gathered in the streets of Winnipeg, which lead to one of the biggest labour action that happened in Canada. I give rating of 1 .

The nation's wealth more than doubled between 1920 and 1929 and therefore gave more money for people to spend. People from coast to coast brought the same goods, and listened to the same music. It was also the same period were women got the right to vote and many new entertainment were inverted like the radio and washing machine,which gave more free time to women. I would rate this event a 1 because it is good

    The Great Depression was the worst economic downturn in the history of the industrialised world, lasting from the stock market crash of 1929 to 1939. This depression happened after the stock market crash on October 1929, which sent wall street into a panic mode and therefore wiped out millions of investors. Over the nest couple of year consumer spending dropped which cause employment ad failing companies to laid off workers. At the low 15 million american were unemployed. I rate this a -1.
