Timeline for Evaluation

  • Parental Consent Signed

    When the parental consent is signed then the team has 60 days in order to evaluate the student for related services.

  • Special Educator receives referral

    After receiving the referral the teachers are given 15 business days in order to meet.

  • Deadline: Schedule an IEP meeting

    Once a student has been deemed that he/she needs services, then the team has 30 days to schedule a meeting with the parents.

  • Writing the IEP

    Educators and related services providers are given 15 days to write an IEP

  • Referral Meeting Deadline

  • Last Day to Send Parents Paperwork

    The coordinator must send the parents all examiner assessments and evaluations at least 5 days prior to the IEP meeting.

  • IEP Meeting

  • Parental Consent Expires

    Unless parents ask for an extension

  • Parental Consent Extension Deadline
