European theatre
The European theatre was the main theatre of combat during World War II, a lot of heavy and important battles happened here. European theatre started on Sept 1, 1939, and ended on May 8, 1945. Battle of the Atlantic
The location of this battle is the Atlantic ocean, it is an important part of the Allied Victory. This battle is between the Allied powers and Axis powers. This battle began with U-boats attacks, Canada declared war on Germany on 10 September 1939. They made corvettes during the battle, it is small, fast, cheap and it is very useful during the battle. More than 3000 Canadians died.

Battle of Britain
It is the largest air battle of WW2. The war ended with the defeat of Nazi Germany on June 22, 1941. No. 242 Squadron is one of the most important armies in the RAF, they are all Canadian. The RAF prevents Germany from control over southern and eastern England, RCAF flew bombers, fighters, reconnaissance, transport, and other missions around the world.

Pacific Warfare
Japan attacked Allied forces throughout the Pacific, including in Hong Kong. Canadians were not nice to Japanese Canadians. Americans dropped an atomic bomb on 6, August 1945, but the Japanese did not surrender, so they dropped the second atomic bomb on 9, August 1945. After that, the Japanese surrendered, and the war ended.

Battle of Hong Kong
The United Kingdom, India, Hong Kong, China, Canada, and Japan participated in this battle. Japan started to attack America at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. Canadians joined the allies and declared war on Japan. Finally, Canada was surrounded after 17 days of battle because the Japanese army was strong. A lot of Canadians died in their prison camp.

Air Warfare
The Royal Canadian Air Force became a lot stronger during the air war, it became the world's fourth-strongest air force army in 1945. Many pilots continued to fly in the Royal Air Force. Germany invades Poland, so Britain and France declare war against Germany. Canadians and Britain destroy German cities, industries, railways, highways, bridges, and oil refineries.

Dieppe Raid
The Allies sent Canadian and British troops to test the German forces along the French coast at Dieppe. The allies hoped to worry the Nazis, but Germany was ready to attack so around 900 Canadians were dead and over 1000 were wounded. Only a few troops survived till the end and returned to the British.

Italian Campaign (Battle of Italy)
Countries that participated in this battle are the Allies and the Axis. Total of 5300 Canadians were killed. Ortona is a city on Italy’s east coast. They were determined to hold the town at all costs. Canadians were forced to take the towns, streets, and houses. They developed a new technique called mouse-holing. This technique is useful and successful.

D-Day (Battle of Normandy)
D-Day stands for Day of Deliverance. Canadians attacked Normandy. The Royal Canadian Navy had 100 ships with 10000 sailors in the operation. In the end, they successfully took France back from the Germans. Canadians won the battle at Juno Beach through their successful military operation.
