    The 13th amendment abolished slavery in the United States. This amendment is very important to US history because without it the world would not be the same and African Americans would still be in chains and controlled by the white man.

    New Zeland becomes the first country to grant women voting rights
    New Zealand was the first country to allow women to vote, this was a huge step for women equality. This was the first step out of many to allow women to vote throughout the entire world and achieve the same rights as men. This event left a huge impact on the entire world and started women on their journey to equality.

    The Hindenburg was a German airship that caught fire in attempting to dock and led to 36 of 97 passengers to die. This disaster embarrassed the Nazis as it was an example of their engineering skill and ultimately led to the end of the airship era.

    England and France declare war on Germany in response to the German invasion of Poland. This was done to show that they would not stand for what Germany war doing and would not allow this to happen without a fight.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack by the Japenese on a US naval base located in Hawaii. At the time the US was neutral in the war but this attack gave the US no other choice but to fight back. This event ultimately led to the end of the war with the US nuking Japan, who knows what the outcome of the war would have been if the US didn't join in when they did.

    Hitler commits suicide
    Hitler committed suicide on April 30th, 1945, he died in a refurbished air-raid shelter by swallowing a cyanide pill then shooting himself in the head. The reason he chose death is that Russian forces were closing in and were sure to overtake chancellery.
