    Ottoman Empire lays siege to Vienna in it's last major aggressive action for over 200 years. Unknown to the Turks; their empire is in decline and will be to late when they realize it to save it.

    This war is most commonly known as the French and Indian war in America. French are defeated and the war is ended with the Peace of Paris in 1763. One could say this is the beginning of the downhill slope to the American Revolution as the British need to find ways to pay for the war.
  • Stamp Act

    Britain imposes a tax on almost all paper items not only against the Americans but also against the British people. Americans heavily disagreed with this tax.
  • Boston Massacre

    British troops angry that at the fact of being mocked by Americans fire on a them. These are the first casualties of the war and will be used to help push colonist into war.

    America claims independence from Britain. After years of feeling unrepresented in Parliament and unfair taxation against the colonist.
  • America Wins

    In an unbelievable turn of events. The French provide support to the American Revolution. British troops are cornered at Yorktown and have no where to escape due to French Navy holding off British navy. British General Charles Cornwallis will surrender and end the American Revolution.

    After Paris is overran with a mob King Louis XVI is tried for violating liberty of his subjects. On January 21 1793 he is executed. Shortly after around 6 countries declare war on France for harming the royal family

    Napoleon takes control of France and begins the French Empire. Will take over all of Europe. Downfall will be the Invasion of Russia and failure to provide adequate supplies for troops. Napoleon will be exiled to Elba where he will escape and tries to regain power of France. He is badly beaten and exiled to St. Helena in the middle of the Atlantic

    Pope reluctantly recognizes French Republic. Numerous church holidays are accepted as well as equal rights for protestants and Jewish people.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    United States purchases Louisiana from France. Napoleon needs money for ongoing conflicts in Haiti. At time U.S. not aware of amount of land in deal. Doubles the land of the United States and will call for U.S. exploration missions across the west.

    America goes to war with Britain over trade and the illegal capture of American sailors and forcing them to work on British ships

    England slowly but surely becomes the industrial leader of the world. Advanced technology and good economy to invest in. England also has a powerful navy, hard to invade, as well as the East India Company to boost trade.

    The U.S. states that no European powers should interfere with countries or attempt to take over of any land in South/North America. U.S. would allow European countries to handle pre-existing colonies.

    In 1829 Robert Peel finally convinces British Parliament to create the London police force. The first ever of it's kind in Britain.

    Texas fights for Independence

    After some time of trying to work with the Mexican government and getting nowhere. Americans in Texas will make a call to arms and fight for Independence. After some demoralizing defeats at the Alamo and Goliad where over a total of 600 Texans were killed. Mexico is finally defeated at the Battle of San Jacinto in just 18 minutes by a heavily motivated but heavily outnumbered Texas army.
  • Texas Annexation

    The Republic of Texas is annexed by the United States as the 28th state in the Union. The annexation would lead to the Mexican-American war and the capture of lands from East New mexico to California
  • Beginnings of Weatherford Texas

    Settlers begin to move into present day Weatherford, Texas. A stopping point before moving into the West. Suffered many attacks from Indians for decades.
