    At the age of 21 Thomas Edison had his first patent. He had a total of 1093 patents in his lifetime. He is the holder of the most patents ever recieved. Edison got many patents from other countrys other than the United States.

    When he was 22 he had just recieved his forst patent fot the Electrographic vote-recorder. Edison was one of several inventors who were given the task to record the legislative decision in a timely manner. The legislators would flip the yes or no switch that would tellt he clerk.

    Edison made the original Pneumatic stencil pen. the pen that edison patented in 76 used a rod ipped with a steel needle to perforate paper for printing porposes.it is important because it is the only device that could effeciently copy papers

    He had buil it out of tin foil and when trying to improve his telegraph the foil made a noise and it intrigued him.

    During the 1880's through the 1890's he had experimented with magnets to separate iron from unneeded ore. This invention was put our of buisness by an iron mine next to the Great lakes. Later they learned that this machine could gring up rocks and make a very useful product named concrete.

    In 1881 no one know how much power they were using so Thomas edison figured this porblem out by patenting the Werbermeter in 1881. The meter had 2-4 Electrolytic cells with zinc at both electrodes and a zinc dulfate solution. The zinc moved from one electrode to another at the rate of the electricity was used.
