    Their first place to meet was in mount Vernon, which is also George Washington’s house and estate, and mainly talked about how to improve trades, and it turns out it worked well between them. So, they decided to meet each other again sometime later

    After that, they decided to meet again in 1786, this was their second talk (convention) and then they met in Annapolis, however only five states arrived and appeared there. Which proves that the states don't feel like they have to change the articles of confederation.

    This is where it gets interesting, at 1786 there was also this thing called the shays rebellion, led by Daniel shay, and because of that it makes America's founding fathers realize that they have to get back on their feet and change something, in which case they have to change the articles of Confederation.

    They then met each other in between May and December in the year of 1787 at the constitutional convention, the state that they met was in Philadelphia. At the constitutional convention about 55 men participated there, usually rich people (businessmen, lawyers, etc) in which they talked about how to improve the articles of confederation. In the convention there are some few similar names you might have heard of, George Washington or Benjamin Franklin and others.

    After that, there was a lot of arguing and a lot of fighting happening to determine which will be better: The Virginia Plan? Or the New Jersey Plan. In which the convention is slowly shattering apart. Then a man named Roger Sherman invented an idea which is named, The great compromise.

    In the convention, James Madison presents the Virginia plan. The Virginia plan consists of determining the power by a larger population of a state, which means that the state that has the largest population gets the most power. After that a man named William Patterson presents his idea The New Jersey plan. The New Jersey plan insisted that there was only 1 power, in which he wanted everything to be equal and every state must have the same power.
