    12:50 AM
At about 12:50 AM, people began to realize that the Titanic truly was sinking. This led to a massive rush to the life boats. Unfortunately, it was decided in the design of the Titanic, that having enough lifeboats for all passengers would only cnly clutter the deck. If they had loaded every lifeboat correctly that night (which they did not), they would have only been able to save about half of the passengers. (Sinking Of The Titanic) (Titanic Facts)
