  • 1946 election

Due to Eugene Talmadge death 3 men had claimed office . These men were Ellis Arnall, Melvin E. Thompson, t, and Herman Talmadge . In order to be in office these men's had to have a lieutenant (when the govern is absent from it position and there a person taking it's place for awhile ) meaning "second-in-command" being there to take his place .
