Exposition 1: It Awakens
The ghost of Horace P. Pettimore raises his evil zombie out of its grave. The zombies name is Cyrus Mcnulty and because Horace P. Pettimore stole his soul with his voodoo magic he has to do his bidding. -
Rising Action 6: Breaking News
Horace P. Pettimore was traveling on steamboat up to where he would build his mansion, then was greeted by a little girl who was possessed by Queen Lasheena, the person who taught
Horace P. Pettimore voodoo magic and had been recently killed by him. She told him that he may have killed her, but had no one of his blood to possess in the future and to live in forever. That was when he remembered he would have to find his long lost sister. -
Rising Action 7: Immortality is Still in Reach
Horace P. Pettimore is in a hospital going to steal some medicine and finds a dying soldier who begs him to tell his wife that he loves her. While Mr. Pettimore had no idea of looking for the man's wife, he was showed a picture, and it was his long lost sister. -
Exposition 2: First Impressions
Zack has just moved in and is going to the same middle school as his dad did and it is called Horace P. Pettimore Middle School.
One thing important to know about Zack is that he can see ghosts. It was just a regular old back to school night but when Zack left to go to the bathroom he got lost and ended up running into the Donnelly brothers. Zack then learned that they were killed in a fire that happened in one of the school hallways. A teacher also died trying to save them. -
Exposition 3: School History
On the car ride home, Zacks dad told him about the school's history. Like that the scholl was named after Horace P. Pettimore, and that he was a captain in the Union during the Civil War and it had been rumored that he had found confederate gold and had stolen becuse when he came and lived here, he was very wealthy. He donated his mansion to make it into a school and that is where the middle school came from. -
Rising Action 1: Conflict
Davy Wilycox, a friendly ghost Zack had encountered before, informed Zack that he was being watched by a zombie and his ghost master (Horace P. Pettimore). They are trying to hunt zack down and possess him. -
Rising Action 2: Protect Me
Mr. Willoughby, a person Zack used to work for died and he has become Zack's gaurdian. Every kid in the school is getting a gaurdian because of the news that the zombie has been awoken. -
Rising Action 3: The Discovery
Wade Muggins, the school janitor, is blowing propane in a wall in the school basement in an attempt to kill rats.
that is when Wade made a mistake that almost cost him his life. Wade lit a cigarette while the propane was blowing into the wall and their was an explosion. Wade, lucky to be alive, climed through the large hole in the wall and started searching through the tunnels under the school that were built by Horace P. Pettimore. -
Rising Action 4: The Story
In Zack's first history class of the year with Ms. Dubois, he learns about how the Donnelly brothers died in the fire. He also was told by the teacher that the teacher who died in an attempt to save the boys was named Mr. Patrick J. Cooper. He then learned Ms. Dubois was related to Mr. Patrick J. Cooper. -
Rising Action 5: Uncovering
Judy, Zack's stepmom is one of the only people who knows that Zack can see ghosts. Zack told her about when he saw the Donnelly brothers. So Judy decided to find out what happened, she then wne tot the library and found out what happened to them. -
Rising Action 8: Double Trouble
Wade is searching through the tunnels thinking he will either find alien equipment or Horace P. Pettimore's treasure. Wade has no idea where he is going so he is just wondering around.
then he is attacked by the zombie and gets bitten. Then he gets away and turns into a zombie. That is also when the Donnelly brothers find him and he becomes their servant. -
Falling Action 1: New Findings
Zipper, zacks dog who got lonely while Zack was at school Zipper decided to follow him to wherever he went almost everyday. He followed him then was chased by the vice principal and the new janitor. He got away and found Zack, so then Zack and Malik took Zipper to the janitor's office and found a small doorway. They entered the doorway and found a room with symbols carved into the wall. Malik copied them down. Then when the next bell rang they gave Zipper to Judy to be taken home. -
Climax/ Turning Point
Azalea is told by Zack that he can see ghosts, she then tells Ms. Dubois. She also tells her that she is related to Mary Jane Hopkins, who happened to be Horace P. Pettimore's long lost sister. His ghost was watching through one of his portraits at the time and realized Zack was not who he neede but it was Azalea. -
Falling Action 3: Secret Identities
When all the kids go to lunch Ms. Dubois calls her younger brother Eddie that she knows a plan to get the treasure back and restore their family name.
she told him that Azalea confronted her and said that Zack Jennings can see ghosts. This would help their plan because they could get someone to talk to their ancestor's ghost and learn the way to find the treasure. She then read a letter from Patrick J. Cooper saying use the Donnelly boys then kill them and run of with the treasure. -
Falling action 3: Surprises
Zack, Azalea,Malik, and Ms. Dubois were going to the graveyard behind the school and they would do grave rubbings. They were testing it out to see if they would do it as a field trip. When they walked in the school Eddie greeted them nicely. Zack asked where Malik was and Eddie said is dad had come looking for him saying they had a fight last night about money. Zack walked in and looked at the trophy case, Davy Wilycox appeared and said that Ms. Dubois and Eddie can not be trusted. -
Falling Action 3 Continued: Surprises
Davy Wilycox also said to Zack that Malik had gone into the small doorway they had found.
he was looking for the treasure so his mom could get the surgery she needed. Malik found another code and figured out that it said to stay left to avoid the zombie protecting the treasure. -
Falling Action 4: Friendship
Zack, being a great friend went into the tunnels to save Malik from the Zombie because he believes that they are not real so he felt safe going tdown there. -
Resolution 1: Freedom
Zack and Malik found their way to the treasure but the room before it which had a gaping hole in the wall had jars in it. ONe was labeled Mcnulty and Zack then realized, It was the zombie's soul jar. Then Zack opened the jar and the zombie turned to dust and Wade returned to normal. -
Resolution 2: Completed
The Donnelly brothers ended their journey on Earthas ghosts when they trapped Ms. Dubois in the furnace of the Steamboat engine. Since she was related to Patrick J. Cooper, the man who killed them, they could move on and go up to heaven. -
Fallin Action 5: Inheritance
Zack's dad and Judy decide to surprise Zack and his friends by bringing them pizza for lunch at the graveyard. But when they get to the School they whistle for Zipper to come over because Zack had taken him with them. Then when they walk into the school and see the janitor door open and the light on. They then enter the small doorway and Zack's dad sees scary Arie. She was a ghost who died there. She told them that Zack was in danger, and then Zack's dad realized that his ability came back. -
Resolution 3: Revenge
Queen LaSheena had been planning her revenge on Horace P. Pettimore for a long time. She was using the body of her descendents to live among the mortals. She watched him, waiting until he would possess the body he needed to so she could then capture his soul and have him be her eternal slave. -
Resolution 4: Payments Filled
After all of the drama and danger, The treasure had been found and apart of it was being given to Malik and his family. Then the rest of the money was given to charities that Horace P. Pettimore supported. Azalea was fine after Horace P. Pettimore's soul left her body. She just would not remember what had happened. Then finally Zack and his family could just go home and have a normal weekend, for the most part.
