San Diego Zoo acquaints the Siamang specie
The San Diego Zoo has welcomed 15 Siamang babies, and still are in the present day. The zoo highlights the Siamang adult male Unkie, and his life-long mate Eloise, and have been together since 1987. -
Home for the Orangutans and Siamangs
"In 2003, a multilevel, naturalistic exhibit to house our siamangs and orangutans together was opened, as both species are native to the tropical rain forests of Sumatra." The specie is protected with local laws, as well as international laws, given and supported by the CITES Appendix I.
