The AK-74 was designed in 1947 and produced in 1974. It is a firearm created by the USSR. It is modled after the original AK-74. This rifle first saww service in 1979 with the Afghanistan Conflict. The majority of countries that use this rifle are former USSR countries. Over 30 countries have or still are using this firearm today.

The Styer AUG was designed in 1977 and was produced in 1978. The place of origin was Austrila. It has been used in the Iraq War and Afgahnistan War. Over 30 countries hav or still are using this firearm for there army. Many countries still use this as there primary firearm for there soldiers.

The FAMAS was a French produced firearm. This firearm was suposed to be produced in early 1978, but it did not become standard issue till the late 1978 due to production faults. This firearm is still in service today, over 8 countries use it.

The M249 was designed in 1976 and was produced in 1979, or late 1970's. This is an LMG (light machine gun) it is used as an infantry firearm. It has five variants. It is used by the United States armed forces.
