    Automobile (Henry Ford, Model T)
    This was known for being an affordable transportation for many people. This Automobile was cheap, durable, and ease with maintenance. Henry Ford wanted everyone to have this automobile. This was a car that looked good because it was also black. Henry made this car so cheap so that every man and women would own one.
  • Babe Ruth

    Babe Ruth
    Ruth is known for breaking so many baseball world records and no one can seem to break them. Some of these records were number of home runs (714), there is also one with how many bases on ball (2,062).
  • 18th Amendment

    18th Amendment
    This amendment was when the U.S. Constitution banned the manufacture of intoxicating liquors. This was a time in U.S. history called Prohibition. This meant that there could be no more intoxicating liquor which made people really upset.
  • 19th Amendment

    19th Amendment
    This amendment granted the rights for women to vote. During WW1 many of the women had to take over the men’s jobs an they did great at them. This helped grant them a new right.
  • Washing Machines

    These 1920’s washing machines became more advanced and was able to use in houses. This new invention was fantastic for the women and children when they would wash their clothes. If this invention wasn’t made, women and children would have to hand wash clothing that took so much time.
  • Amelia Earhart

    In 1920 Earhart had her first ever airplane ride in California. The pilot that took her was a famous WW1 pilot, Frank Hawks. This really grabbed Earhart’s attention and then she was hooked right in. Earhart then started flying lessons with her female instructor, Neta Snook.

    The first ever radio was called the KDKA. This radio was the nations first commercial broadcast. These radios were so popular cause you could listen to music during a house party. This was such a big deal during this time and people went crazy over them.
  • Harding Win Presidency

    Harding won the election with 60 percent of the popular vote. Harding was also the most popular man and U.S. President at this time. Harding later died in 1923 with only serving two years as the U.S. President.

    The first ever paid advertisement came from AT&T. The very first commercial aired on WEAF that was 10 minutes long. The payment was $50 that promoted apartments in New York. This was then a huge success because so many apartments were sold.

    The first instant camera was a self-developing film that was used to create a developed print. The camera also had portable wet darkroom in a single compartment. The inventor was Samuel Shlafrock.
  • Television

    There was an idea to transmit images onto a television. It was called “30 lines’ images that demonstrated of the television by reflecting light. This was a huge deal because it made it a lot easier to hear about news and information.
  • Route 66

    Route 66
    This route was designed to take you from Chicago to Los Angeles and was an all weather highway. This route also reduced the distance of Chicago and Los Angeles by more than 200 miles. This route was so popular that thousands of motorists went that way. With this route it also made places like hotels and restaurants more recognized.

    This was the first ever electric refrigerator invented in 1927. This fridge was so popular and was $520, but in todays society this fridge would be around $7,000. This fridge was called the “Monitor-Top.”
  • Vacuum Cleaners

    Also known as the Hoover Vacuum 700, this was a big hit after WW1. This made women’s lives and jobs so much easier because it cleaned for you. This vacuum was from a company called Hoover and was made it 1927.
  • GM and Chrysler

    GM and Chrysler
    GM, Chrysler, and Ford were making all the cars in the 1920’s. At least 80 percent of people had one of these cars. When Ford’s Model T automobile stopped in 1927, GM then adopted their things and their automobiles started becoming more popular.
  • First Transatlantic Flight.

    Charles A. Lindbergh was the first to complete a nonstop Transatlantic Flight. This made history because it left from Long Island, New York and then landed in Paris, France without any stops.

    This was a movie that was released about a boy who loved jazz and wanted to be a performer. This movie is a family movie passed off of life decisions that would affect your life. The movie is based of musical/drama and in and hour and 29 minutes long
  • Walt Disney (Steamboat Willie)

    Walt Disney (Steamboat Willie)
    This was a animation/comedy short film. Willie is playing a steamboat driver while entertaining Minnie. The cast was Walt Disney himself and he was also a producer.
  • Valentines Day Massacre

    Valentines Day Massacre
    This incident happened because of a struggle over crime in the city. The rivals of this massacre were the Chicago's North Side Gang and the Italian South Side Gang. This massacre resulted in George "Bugs" Moran being shot by the other gang dressed as policemen.

    This was the stock market crash in 1929, but was nicknamed “Black Thursday”. This all happened when the plunging average was 11 percent. 12.9 million people were trades as investors to get their loses. This was devastating abuse so many people lost their money.
